The People's League Mission Statement The People's League is a non-partisan, non-profit Boys & Girls Basketball Foundation dedicated to mentoring and educating young people to become productive citizens. The People's League mobilizes young people to create positive social change in their lives and their communities. Our foundation’s goal is to ensure that young people focus on their future. Goals include teaching personal responsibility, and becoming industrious citizens who exercise their right to vote. Mentoring our youths to successfully pursue their choice in careers is our mission, whether in sports, in entertainment, or other pursuit. The People's League creates and administers programs in the areas of civic participation, including educational and organizational assistance for young people through voter education and voter registration, scholarship programs for students, and assistance in pursuing careers in the entertainment and sports industries. The betterment of the community at large and its citizens is at the heart of sponsoring and participating in activities that fall within the scope of The People's League Foundation. "The People's League was designed to support USA Basketball so that our youth can continue to carry the GOLD MEDAL to the TOP of the podium every 4 years at the Olympic Games"
